Arizona Opera Audition

ARIZONA OPERA ANNOUNCES TUCSON AUDITIONS FOR EDUCATION TEACHING ARTISTS FOR THE FALL 2021 SEASON. HIRING FOR ALL VOICE TYPES (SOPRANO, MEZZO-SOPRANO, TENOR, BARITONE) AND PIANIST.
The Arlyn M. Brewster Tucson OperaTunity Troupe travels to area schools performing all-school assemblies of various adapted operas for elementary and middle school aged students. The troupe performs over 70 shows for over 15,000 students from September - December. This years show is Cinderella, based off of La Cenerentola and Cendrillon, performed in English.
This is a part-time position.
Troupe members are expected to be available August 30 – December 17, 2021 from 7:30am – 3:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday with some flexibility from August 30 – September 12.

There is no housing or housing stipended provided for this position.
If you are a current college student studying in Tucson, there is flexibility to work around your class schedule.

Each auditioner is to prepare 2 selections, as follows:
Any Rossini aria of your choice
An aria or song of your choice in English

Name and composer of aria
