Rochester International Vocal Competition XIX Competition
Description
A fully-virtual professional young artist competition featuring world-class judges, cash prizes, and performance opportunities. Presented by the Rochester Oratorio Society.
Principal judges are: EVANS MIRAGEAS, Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and DANIEL WOLFSBAUER, Daniel Wolfsbauer Artists’ Management, Artistic Director of the Music Society LA PRIMA VOLTA, Vienna, Austria.
PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS: Initial judging is by audio submissions only. From these, twelve contestants will be selected to advance to the semi-final round. These twelve artists will be offered the opportunity to update their materials prior to final judging.
Audition Recordings
Please submit audio recordings of 2-5 pieces, not to exceed 15 minutes total duration. The selections may be from the operatic, oratorio, or art song genres, chosen to represent your best work in a variety of styles. No video recordings accepted.
Your audition recordings must:
- be your own performances, accompanied or unaccompanied
- not exceed 15 minutes of music
- be unedited, except for duration
- include selections in your order of preference with the strongest performances first
