The Department of Music at Elizabethtown College is accepting applications for an adjunct instructor in applied voice and instructor of aural skills beginning August 21, 2023. The Music Department has five full-time faculty and offers majors in Music, Music Education, and Music Therapy.

The Music Department seeks an adjunct instructor of voice to teach applied voice lessons to students. The qualified applicant will typically instruct intermediate aural skills and seven to ten voice lessons per semester on the Elizabethtown College campus beginning August 21, 2023. Private lessons are either 30 or 60 minutes, depending upon the student’s major. Aural Skills III is scheduled MW from 2-2:50pm in the fall semester. Applied lesson days and times are negotiable.

Teaching responsibilities for this position include applied instruction of voice lessons and the instruction of intermediate aural skills.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in music (voice), experience performing as a soloist, and experience teaching private students. Proficiency in Italian, German, and French diction and knowledge of vocal literature for developing voices. Qualified applicants will be committed to dynamic and innovative teaching and thoughtful approaches to aural skills pedagogy.
