College of Idaho Teaching Job
Description
The College of Idaho invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Music with a specialty in choral conducting to begin August 2026. We seek candidates who share the College’s commitment to creating an inclusive academic community through their teaching, recruiting, mentoring, scholarly activity, and service.
Qualifications
A terminal degree (DMA, PhD, or EdD) in choral conducting or music education is required (ABD considered). Preference will be given to candidates with college- or secondary-level teaching and conducting experience. Additional preferences include experience as a vocal teacher and performer, piano skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for liberal arts education
Review of candidates will begin on October 30, 2025, and continue until the position is filled.

• Transcripts (unofficial transcripts are accepted)
• Representative programs of conducted concerts
• At least three letters of recommendation
• Recordings of the candidate conducting a choral rehearsal and performance (YouTube links preferred)
• If available, recording(s) that feature the candidate performing as a soloist, or in a professional-level ensemble
