The Setnor School of Music within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks Part-Time Instructor to teach Piano & Voice Coaching Class, a one credit hour course, during the 2022 fall and 2023 spring semesters.

Fundamentals of collaborative skills in voice and piano performance.

Qualifications

* Relevant academic credentials and experience including:

* A minimum of a Master of Music (preferred), or demonstrable equivalent professional experience.

* Extensive experience as a piano/vocal coach. Excellent piano skills required.

* Ability to help students broaden their knowledge of vocal and instrumental repertoire, develop proficiency in sight-reading, and strengthen their accompanying skills.

* Demonstrated successful college level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

* Experience teaching a class such as this to a similar cohort of students is strongly preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications

The candidate should have strong attention to detail, knowledge of course content, demonstrated pedagogical ability, as well as the ability to relate well in a classroom and one-on-one environment with college-level students.

Preference will be given to applicants who are able to fulfill multiple positions within the Setnor School of Music.
