La Salle University is accepting applications for Choir Director and Accompanist.

The Choir Director is responsible for providing a quality music program to accompany the Sunday Masses in the De La Salle Chapel. This position is for two (2) hours a week.

Essential Duties

Develop a Chapel Choir to sing weekly at the Sunday Mass.

Lead the hymns and other musical pieces in worship as needed.

Provide accompaniment and direct the choir during weekly Sunday worship services.

Lead weekly rehearsals (plus additional times identified by special needs).

Develop and maintain a choir calendar.

Work collaboratively with staff in the selection of choral music and hymns by aligning with the Scripture and liturgical texts.

Recruit new choir members each year from within the overall campus community.

The Choir Director will be responsible for the choir’s appearance, sound and delivery.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Music education, choral conducting, or performance.

Experience with liturgical music.

Performance level keyboard skills
