Held by the Polish National Opera, Teatr Wielki, Warsaw, the International Stanis?aw Moniuszko Vocal Competition is the biggest singing competition in Poland. Established in 1992 by Maria Fo?tyn, Polish soprano, legendary Halka, opera director, animateur, and tireless promoter of Stanis?aw Moniuszko’s oeuvre, the competition sees its tenth anniversary in 2019. Every three years young artists from around the world gather in Warsaw to present their skills and abilities before a select group of music professionals. For many the competition becomes a launch pad to an international career.
The Competition is open to singers of any nationality, resident anywhere in the world, and born not earlier than 6 June 1989 and not later than 6 June 2004.
To participate in the Competition, Candidates must submit a complete application. Applications must be made online, using the electronic application
form available on the Moniuszko Competiton website
The complete application must include:
a. the online application form;
b. video recordings of the Candidate performing, made no earlier than on 15 February 2021, of a total duration of 7-12 minutes, without cuts during the performance of a given piece;
c. a brief biography for use in the Competition program book and press publications;
d. a high-resolution up-to-date print-quality headshot for use in the Competition programme book and press publications.
