Description
Boise State University seeks an Assistant Professor of Voice (Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano).
Essential Functions:
Teach undergraduate and graduate lessons and courses in Voice (classical, Musical Theatre, and CCM styles)
Work with faculty in the Vocal, Choral, and Musical Theatre areas to sustain and grow the vocal program
Actively recruit for the Department of Music
Cultivate working relationships with area and regional educators to promote music education and vocal music
Maintain a collaborative relationship with all Music and Theatre faculty and support productions
Participate in Department of Music activities and committee work, as load permits
Minimum Qualifications:
DMA in Vocal Performance; ABD will be considered
Expertise to teach and develop lessons and courses in Voice (classical, Musical Theatre, and CCM styles)
Evidence of creative activity and achievement in Vocal performance

Statement of your teaching philosophy with respect to music education, vocal teaching and inclusive pedagogies. Please also discuss your experience or interest in working with and mentoring students from underserved groups.
CV, including five professional references with contact information
Evidence of achievement in teaching Voice (ie. syllabi, course development, projects, etc.)
Video recordings which showcase your skills as a vocalist, not to exceed 20 minutes. Submissions should include performances of classical and CCM styles. Recordings must be within the last 5 years.
Video recordings teaching two contrasting voices and styles. Recordings limited to 15 minutes each
