Opera Saratoga Summer Young Artist Program

Opera Saratoga is accepting applications for 2022 Young Artist Program.

The 2022 Summer Festival will run from May 16th - July 10th, 2022. Please do not apply for the program if you are not available during this span of time. Releases are generally not granted due to the heavy nature of the schedule.

PRELIMINARY SUBMISSION: For each artist’s preliminary submission, two audio recordings of operatic arias made within the last 6 months are mandatory. One aria must be in English. As Opera Saratoga frequently produces 21st century repertoire, we encourage the submission of an aria that demonstrates your facility with contemporary musical idioms. You may also submit an additional recording of a musical theater excerpt, which is recommended if you wish to be considered for casting in the Festival Musical. Please note that we do not review video submissions in the preliminary round of auditions. Only audio recordings are accepted during the preliminary round.

The application deadline for all applicants is Sunday, September 12th. All applicants will be notified if they have been granted a video second round audition by Friday, October 8th.
