Victorian Lyric Opera Company

Don your most convincing disguise and prepare to fall in with a group of unsavory bandits! VLOC presents Jacques Offenbach's The Brigands with translation by W. S. Gilbert.

The Brigands will be performed in a concert setting (no sets, minimal props/costumes) with full orchestra.

VLOC is seeking singers of all voice types. With a cast of over 20 named roles this is an ideal production for performers of all skill levels and backgrounds.

What to Prepare:

Prepare one song in English which shows off your range. ?An accompanist will be provided for your audition. Please bring a hard copy of your music for the pianist.

You may be asked to perform a cold reading of a monologue during the audition.

Those seeking to only be in the ensemble DO NOT need to audition. Please select chorus on the audition form and choose waitlist instead of an audition time.

All tech rehearsals and performances are required for all cast members.

All participants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 virus (see below) and provide proof of vaccination at the first in-person VLOC interaction (your audition!).
