Verona Area Community Theatre

VACT is excited to be performing our first musical in over a year! Matilda The Musical is the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Tuesday, August 3 – Check In 6:30 pm

Callbacks immediately following regular auditions.

Wednesday, August 4 – Check In 6:30 pm

Callbacks immediately following regular auditions

All auditions will be held in the VACT Building located at 103 Lincoln Street in Verona.

Those auditioning will not be asked to sing a song of their choice for the audition (i.e. no singing of 32 bars of a song from a musical that you choose).

Each person will be taught a selection from the show.

Kids (ages 11-15) – “When I Grow Up”

Adults and Teens (ages 16+) – “When I Grow Up” or “This Little Girl” or “Miracle”

You will be taught the music as a group and then use your choice for your own audition.

Each person will be asked to do a short cold reading from the show.

Based on main auditions, you may be asked to stay and learn additional material.

There will be a mandatory dance audition.
