The Department of Music at Muskingum University invites applications for a limited-term, renewable, faculty position of Director of Choral Activities and Vocal Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning the fall semester of 2022.

Primary instructional responsibilities will include conducting the university choirs, teaching vocal pedagogy courses, and coordinating the voice area within the department of music. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity for visible involvement in the broader southeastern Ohio community as a conductor, pedagogue, and/or scholar, and the ability to work within a team environment.

A doctoral degree in choral conducting or music education is required. ABD candidates will be considered, with the understanding that the terminal degree must be completed within one year and the rank will be instructor. Public school teaching experience is a plus.
