Charlottesville Opera

Charlottesville Opera provides Emerging Artists with an enriching way to enhance their professional careers. Singers have performance opportunities not only in mainstage productions at The Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville but also in cover runs, performances in Broadway, Opera Greats, and New Music Concerts. Emerging artists will experience a wide array of training experiences, including working with a composer, taking regular voice lessons, coachings, and movement classes, receiving individual work sessions with a stage director, conductor, and coach, and participating in sessions on the business aspects of singing (resume/website/social media work, head shots, etc.), including talk-back sessions with professionals in the business. This program is packed with opportunities!
