Description
Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, and the Joint Music Program of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges invite applications for a one-semester position of Visiting Lecturer in Music, to co-teach two choir ensembles (1/2 course each for a total of 1 course compensation). The position is for the Spring semester, January-May 2026. Teaching experience required. Doctorate, ABD, or equivalent experience required. Responsibilities include co-directing (with the Director of Choirs) a mixed-voice chamber choir and a treble choir, selection of repertoire in cooperation with the Director of Choirs, and holding an office hour each week. Rehearsal classes would be either Mondays or Wednesdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Planned concert projects include an April 24-26, 2026 concert weekend of the choral ensembles.
