Description
Reporting to the Vice President for Mission and Ministry; the Director assumes a lead role in organizing and planning for signature events in the academic year including Commencement, Michaelmas service, Baccalaureate Mass, Mass of the Holy Spirit, and the University Christmas Concert. The University Director oversees the liturgical music program of St. Aedan’s: The Saint Peter’s University Church throughout the year.
As an ambassador of the University, the Director of Music plays an essential role in communicating institutional mission and identity through music, performance, instruction, and service.

Qualification Standards
· Be committed to undergraduate education, and work collegially with others.
· Knowledge of traditional and contemporary choral literature. Christian music, liturgical practices, including other cultures as appropriate.
· Experience in chorale rehearsal techniques and conducting.
· The successful candidate will be a highly enthusiastic teacher and recruiter who will continue to develop an outstanding choral/performance program.
· Ability to demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
· Active participation in local, regional, state, national, and/or international music organizations such as, but not limited to, ACDA, IFCM, NPM
