The School of Performing Arts is inviting applications for a 9-month, full-time, benefit-eligible, term position with rank of Instructor in the area of Music Theory and Voice. This individual will teach second-year music theory sequence and applied voice lessons. This position is supervised by the Director of the School of Performing Arts. The start date is August 2022.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach second-year music theory sequence and applied voice lessons.
Enhance curricular needs of the School by teaching in other areas such as history at the discretion of the Director.
Plan and organize instructional materials to meet course objectives and program needs.
Provide service to the university by establishing positive working relationships with School faculty and staff, area teachers, and potential students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s in music or related field by date of application.
Experience in teaching applied theory and voice or the study of its pedagogy.
Ability to work with other members of an academic community.
Effective organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
