Description
Northwestern State University of Louisiana is seeking an Assistant Professor of Vocal/Choral Studies.
The successful candidate will teach Applied Voice and ensembles. They will work collaboratively with the voice faculty and the Director of Choral Activities. Other teaching will be assigned according to the candidate's area of expertise. They will be expected to be an active recruiter for the Vocal/Choral program and participate in events and performances. Faculty are expected to maintain a public profile regionally and nationally through guest appearances, solo performances, and/or presentations at professional meetings and conferences.
Minimum of a Master of Music degree. Doctorate preferred. Successful teaching experience at high school or college level in vocal/choral studies. Candidates with keyboard skills will be strongly considered.
