SDMT will be holding auditions for In The Heights.

Singer Call: Sunday, February 13 at 6pm

If you are primarily a singer and would like to audition for one of the Principal or Supporting roles, please sign up for the SINGER CALL at the date and time listed above. You may not sign up for both the Dance Call and Singer Call on Casting Manager. If you are a singer who also dances, feel free to attend our Dance Call the following day, no need to sign up since you are already signed up for the Singer Call. If you are auditioning for the roles of Vanessa, Piragua Guy or Graffiti Pete, you should make an appointment for the Singer Call and also plan on attending the Dance Call the next day.

Dance Call: Monday, February 14 at 6pm

If you are auditioning for the Ensemble, please sign up for the DANCE CALL at the date and time listed above. You may not sign up for both the Dance Call and Singer Call on Casting Manager, so if you would like to attend both, sign up for the Singer Call, and also plan on attending the Dance Call the next day. If you are only attending the Dance Call and you are kept after learning the combination, be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song in the style of the show.

Callback: Sunday, February 20 at 6pm (callbacks are by invitation only)

Should you receive a callback, you can download the sides from our website www.sdmt.org, or you can find them on Casting Manager. Sides will be posted at least one week prior to the callback.

PREPARATION

Singer Call: Prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show and bring one headshot/resume. An accompanist will be provided so bring sheet music in the correct key. Don’t forget to bring your updated vaccination card and wear a mask!

Dance Call: Check-in will begin at 5pm and be prepared to dance right at 6pm. Bring one headshot/resume and 16 bars of a song in the style of the show should you be asked to stay and sing. An accompanist will be provided so bring sheet music in the correct key. Don’t forget to bring your updated vaccination card and wear a mask!

You must be 17 years old to audition and be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
