Director, Voices of Faith Gospel Choir (Temporary)

Job Description

Voices of Faith Gospel Choir sings at a variety of liturgies and prayer services around campus, as well as at other campus-wide events. The director will select music for, teach, and conduct this diverse choir of undergraduate and graduate students, focusing on a variety of time periods and composers within the gospel music genre. The director will also seek to encourage members of the choir to embrace a vibrant and active faith in God, and a desire to share their faith through their choral music.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in music or related field; 3 to 4 years experience. Understanding of gospel music; experience with conducting gospel choir; ability to articulate faith and make connections through gospel music. Prior experience with leadership of this age group preferred.
