Auditions for Beauty and the Beast.

Auditions:

When: April 8, 6:30-9:30

April 9, 10:00 am – 2:00pm

Callbacks: April 16, 10:00-3:00 (Not everyone will be required to stay the

entire time.)

Location: Jubilee Bible Church

900 Foster Rd.

Medinah, Illinois

All rehearsals and performances will be held at Overshadowed Theatrical

Productions which is located in the West end of this building.

Please prepare 32 bars of a song from a Disney-style musical with sheet music for the accompanist in the appropriate key. You may also choose a song from the show based on the character you are auditioning for. Also, please prepare a one-minute monologue from a published play. Once you have requested an audition time you will be given a video that contain a short dance routine to prepare and perform at auditions.

** Please note: All auditions must be performed with accompaniment.

Also needed:

A creative crew of artists who are willing to get their hands dirty to experiment with props, staging, costumes and new theatrical devices.

Wolves, Enchanted Objects, Townspeople, Silly Girls. Ensemble members should expect to participate in large-scale dance numbers, ensemble acting and heavy vocals though-out the show. Select ensemble members will participate in fight choreography.

Rehearsals will begin April 28th. Rehearsals will be set after we see potential conflicts. We will do our best to schedule around them. Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal. Typical requirements are three days a week until the productions gets closer.
