Description

The Music Education Program at Plymouth State University invites candidates to apply for a non-tenure track, full-time benefited Teaching Faculty position as Coordinator of Music Education and Director of Choral Activities beginning August 2022. The teaching load is 30 to 32 credit hours per year. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in music education and Master’s degree in music, education, or music education

· Five or more years experience as a public school music teacher (general, instrumental, and vocal), including work as a mentor teacher for student interns

· Demonstrated excellence as an instructor of choral ensembles

· Experience with distance/remote learning and associated technologies

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
