Finnish National Opera and Ballet seeks Opera singers of all voice types

for permanent or fixed-term employment and for the extra chorus, as of 16 August 2022 or as agreed separately.

Successful applicants will be appointed to opera singer positions in the Vocal Department of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, principally as a Chorus member and, depending on the demands of the repertoire, potentially also with duties as a soloist or as an extra. The job description includes performing at audience outreach events. We offer an interesting and challenging job in a unique workplace environment.

Pay and terms and conditions of employment are determined according to the collective agreement for opera singers at the Finnish National Opera.

Please submit your application, the sheet music for your audition pieces and a link to an audition video no more than four (4) minutes long in the online recruitment system on the website of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet (www.oopperabaletti.fi) on Monday 7 March 2022 at the latest. The video must contain a performance by you of an opera aria of your choice without recitative, with piano accompaniment. The video must be shot using a single camera facing you, and you must be visible on screen throughout. The video and audio must not be post-edited in any way.
