Michigan Opera Theatre Studio Artist

MOT Studio is designed for emerging artists at the beginning of a professional operatic career. Qualified candidates will typically have completed a Master’s Degree and/or Artist Diploma at an accredited university or conservatory; will have performing and/or YAP experience with a professional opera company; and will have performed multiple leading roles with universities and/or professional opera companies.

MOT Studio is a resident artist that offers full-time engagement, continued training, and career development for five singers in the initial years of a professional career. Currently planned to go from September through May, Studio Artists will hone their craft, expand their repertoire, and gain valuable experience through myriad performance opportunities. Working with an array of esteemed professionals and guest clinicians, they continue to refine areas of technique, language, acting, interpretation, style, and presentation.
