Staatstheater Augsburg

The Augsburg State Theater stages over 600 performances of 30 different productions each year in its music theater, ballet, drama and concert divisions. With our more than 400 employees, we reach approximately 200,000 spectators. The Großes Haus is currently being renovated, with performances taking place in the interim venues in martini-Park and on the brechtbühne in the Gaswerk. In addition, a digital division has been added to the program since 2020.

For our opera choir we are looking for the following person as soon as

possible:

Chorus Singer (m/f/d) - I. Tenor (100%).

We expect:

A degree in singing as a major or equivalent skills and professional experience.

Experience in ensemble singing

Good knowledge of the German language, as well as specialized knowledge of the Italian and French languages

Good sight-reading skills

Experience as an opera chorister is an advantage

The audition dates will be announced to the selected applicants shortly after the application deadline.

Compulsory aria:

C. M. v. Weber "Oberon" - aria of Hüon "Von Jugend auf in dem Kampfgefild"

Or

W. A. Mozart "Magic Flute" - Tamino aria "Dies Bildnis ist bezaubernd schön"

Or

W. A. Mozart "Abduction" - Belmont aria "Ich baue ganz auf deine Stärke”

At own choice:

Italian or French aria from the Romantic period.

Chorus parts (with sheet music):

R. Wagner "Lohengrin" - "Zum Streit säumet nicht" (Act 2, KA, p. 136 - 142)

Recruitment is in accordance with NV stage in the chorus class 2b.

Annual leave is granted primarily during the theater vacations.
