St. Charles Community College

SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part-time faculty position to teach private music lessons, as needed, with the possibility of teaching music courses to music majors and non-music majors depending on experience this upcoming fall 2020 semester. The faculty member may perform or prepare students to perform for additional departmental needs as they arise. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis. Vacancy is open for Private Voice Instruction, 30 or 60 minute lessons weekly. Online teaching may be required. Accompanist will be provided. Must be available for Master class/Recital hour on Wednesdays 12 - 1 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters.

Our part-time faculty may participate in benefits such as a 50% SCC tuition waiver for themselves and their families, professional development, fitness center and child care and bookstore discount.

Qualifications: The candidate must demonstrate teaching and performance skills in vocal music. Vocal solo and ensemble experience is required. Classical training with experience in additional genres preferred. Master's degree in the field of music is required.
