NYU Steinhardt School Classical Voice Intensive

The Vocal Performance Program offers a two-week intensive in which students explore and engage in classical vocal performance from multiple perspectives. In a world of ever-changing parameters, the arts remain one of our greatest comforts, vehicles of expression, and peace of mind for both individuals and the community. At no other time has this been more apparent, and so then, is the need to elevate our capacity to learn and to express ourselves through the arts. We invite you to participate in our summer workshop with our renowned faculty; experience private lessons and small group classes in Vocal Technique, Lyric Diction, Repertoire, Interpretation, and how to put all these things together in song. Experience masterclasses in auditioning, music theatre, vocal physiology, career decisions, using technology, and exploring the rich history of the singers that paved the way. Take a live or virtual tour of the Met and Opera Houses Europe and celebrate your time with us by performing in the concert on the last day - open to all via technology.
