Univ of Memphis is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Music, Voice.

Assistant Professor of Music, Voice (2 positions) Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano and Tenor. Academic-year, tenure-track position in the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music beginning August 2026.

Candidate Qualifications:

* Tenor and mezzo soprano/contralto voices preferred

* DMA preferred or MM with significant performing experience

* Teaching experience at the graduate and or professional level with a record of student success and a demonstrated commitment to students’ vocal and artistic growth

* Performance career or research portfolio exhibiting excellence and a high level of national and/or international recognition

* Candidates with expertise across diverse musical styles and performance traditions are especially encouraged to apply.

* Demonstrated commitment to and success in recruiting locally, regionally and nationally.

* Demonstrated commitment to working with a varied student population

* Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the collective mission, vision, and operating standards of the School of Music
