Theater Bremen

Theater Bremen is seeking for its opera choir, starting January 11, 2022, a Bass II(permanent position, full-time).

Theater Bremen is a 4 - division house (music theater, drama, dance, children's and youth theater) with an extensive repertory operation and several venues.

The choir of Theater Bremen, under the direction of Alice Meregaglia, received the "Kurt Hübner Award 2018". This prize was awarded to the opera choir for its outstanding artistic activity.

For the position to be filled, you should have the following qualifications:

- a university degree in singing

- good knowledge of the German language

- performing skills

- ability to work in a team and flexibility

The audition will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 13.00Uhr in the Chor Saal of the Theater (Goetheplatz 1-3, 28203 Bremen).

Mandatory arias:

Mozart:

Entführung aus dem Serail / Aria of Osmin "Oh, how I will triumph..."

Die Zauberflöte / Aria of Sarastro "In diesen heil'gen Hallen..."

Arias of choice:

Two arias of free choice, one in Italian and one in French, please.

Choir passages to be prepared:

Mozart: Zauberflöte Priestly Chorus No. 18 "O Isis und Osiris".

Ponchielli: La Gioconda "Feste e Pane"

Ensemble rehearsal:

Francis Poulenc: "O magnum mysterium"

Sight-singing a small passage
