Barbara and Halsey Sandford Studio Artist Program at Kentucky Opera

The acclaimed Barbara and Halsey Sandford Studio Artist Program at Kentucky Opera brings young professional opera singers to Louisville to train and expand their performance experiences. With over 400 young singers auditioning for limited positions, the program features some of the most talented upcoming voices to be heard nation-wide.

The Studio Artist coach/pianist works closely with the Studio Artist Director, Staff Pianist, and visiting conductors to coach and prepare the studio artist singers for mainstage productions in principal, comprimario and cover roles and chorus repertoire as well as develop their own répétiteur skills and techniques.

Auditions will be held in Louisville, KY.
