The Mittelsächsische Theater und Philharmonie gGmbH, is a multi-band theater with music theater, drama and philharmonic orchestra.

As the world's oldest municipal theater in the university town of Freiberg/Saxony, it offers an extensive cultural program in the heart of Saxony with its other venues Konzerthalle Nikolaikirche, Theater Döbeln and Seebühne Kriebstein.

Musical performers (2 f/d, 2 m/d)

The Mittelsächsische Theater would like to expand its permanent ensemble by four musical performers starting with the season 22/23 under new artistic direction: two for female, two for male role profiles.

On the one hand, musicals are to become an integral part of the repertoire, on the other hand, we see it as a matter of course that all forms of expression of stage performance belong to all sections and genres.

We are therefore looking for musical performers with very good vocal abilities, if possible also in the classical field, and very good acting skills.

Pronounced dancing abilities are a prerequisite.

Enjoyment of interdisciplinary work is desired.

Solo roles in musical theater and drama are offered, but participation in the theater choir is also part of the contract.

Artistic initiative is expressly desired; own short projects, for example in the context of the stage ball (which offers programs at many locations of the theater), up to small productions in the repertoire are possible and are supported by the management.

For auditions, we ask that you prepare a monologue, a ballad and an up-tempo, and if possible, a classic operetta aria. The first audition date is set for 10/12/2021.
