Dallas Opera Audition
Description
The Dallas Opera (TDO) announces an audition for 7 open AUXILIARY chorus positions in Don Carlo for the 2025/2026 Season. SOPRANO, MEZZO-SOPRANO, AND TENOR voice types are welcome to apply. Applicants will also be considered for the Auxiliary Chorus. Auditions will be held at the Karayanis Rehearsal Production Center (4301 S. Fitzhugh Ave) on:
August 19, 2025 – 6:30pm-9:30pm
Audition Requirements:
1. One Aria in Italian, German, or French (preferred inclusive with recitativo).
2. OPTIONAL: One additional aria or art song in English may be offered if you feel it better shows your voice to your advantage.
3. Sight reading will be requested.
Singers are required to bring two copies their own sheet music in the correct key. A copy will be given to the pianist and the audition panel. TDO will provide a pianist.
