National Opera Studio Global Talent Programme

The National Opera Studio is a world leader in the training of young opera singers and repetiteurs who are on the verge of launching their professional careers.

Our Global Talent Programme, delivered in collaboration with the six full-time UK opera companies, is a comprehensive nine-month course designed to provide Young Artists with all the necessary skills for success. Our Young Artists receive top-tier musical, vocal, and language coaching, training in stagecraft and physical disciplines, valuable performance opportunities, substantial professional exposure, resilience coaching, and much more.

The National Opera Studio Global Talent Programme is full-time and runs from September to June.

There is no upper age limit for applying to the NOS. However, applicants are reminded that the Global Talent Programme is very intensive and is intended to benefit extremely gifted singers and repetiteurs who are at the beginning of their professional operatic careers. Although it is not a formal requirement, applicants are expected to have significant performance experience and to have been training, in some form, for a number of years.
