The Department of Music at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) is seeking applicants for a part-time, temporary position to serve as Director of the IUP Chorus (MUSC 134) for the Fall 2025 semester.

Duties:

* The IUP Chorus meets from 5:45-7:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

* The IUP Chorus typically presents two or three concerts per semester.

* The Director will work with the Director of Choral Activities to schedule concerts and activities.

* The Director is encouraged to collaborate with other departmental concerts and recruiting events.

* The position may be renewed for the Spring 2026 semester.

The successful candidate(s) may be asked to work at off-campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.

Position Qualifications

Required:

* Masters in Choral Conducting (preferred) or a related field.

* At least two years choral conducting experience at the secondary or collegiate level, or with an adult community choir.
