Description

The Toronto Mozart Vocal Competition is open to emerging singers of all voice types trained or in training between the ages of 18-35.

Candidates will be invited to perform in the Competition which will take place on Friday January 29, Saturday January 30 and Sunday January 31, 2021 at Church of the Redeemer, 162 Bloor Street West, Toronto, if regulations allow gatherings, or online. Round One of master classes with David Bowser will take place over two days on Friday between 6:00 pm and 9:30 pm and on Saturday between 1:00 pm and 9:30 pm. Round Two of master classes with Nathalie Paulin will take place on Sunday between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

The names of the singers selected for scholarship awards and concert performance will be announced and posted on the Mozart Project website on or before Wednesday February 3, 2021.

The scholarship recipients will perform as soloists in Mozart’s Requiem in concert with the Toronto Mozart Players and the Toronto Mozart Choir on Sunday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Church of the Redeemer, 162 Bloor Street West, Toronto.

The Competition organizers must receive the online completed application form, inclusive of an uploaded curriculum vitae and headshot, and the $115 CAD entry fee no later than midnight on Sunday December 6 2020. Incomplete or illegible forms will not be accepted.
