The Univ of Oklahoma is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Voice.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate vocal performance and education majors. Actively engage in recruiting and recruiting events both on campus and off campus. Teach weekly individual applied voice lessons, conduct weekly voice studio classes, supervise student voice recitals at the undergraduate and graduate levels, teach area-related courses at the undergraduate and graduate level such as diction, vocal pedagogy, and vocal literature according to the needs of the area and as assigned by the Director of the School of Music. Serve on undergraduate and graduate committees, including DMA doctoral committees, participate in doctoral document advising, and provide mentorship to students. Participate in departmental activities including solo and collaborative performing. Contribute to School, College, and University service. Maintain an active and visible international, national and regional teaching and performing schedule.

Required Qualifications

Soprano or Mezzo-Soprano voice. M.M. in Vocal Performance and/or Vocal Pedagogy with significant and outstanding professional performing experience required. Evidence of at least 2 to 3 years of successful teaching at the collegiate level. Demonstrated high level of national and/or international professional performance experience.
