The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Music Department welcomes applications for a full-time Visiting Instructor position in voice. This position is a nine-month, non-tenure track visiting faculty position with consideration for a second year renewal, based on performance and enrollment. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Applied Voice and other voice related courses as appropriate to the candidate’s strengths, beginning in late July of 2025. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.

Qualifications:

1: Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.

2: Terminal degree in a related field or a master’s degree with commensurate experience is required. ABD candidates may be considered.

3: All voice types considered.

4: Experience in various vocal styles preferred (classical, musical theatre).

5: Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential.

6: Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
