Verona Area Community Theatre

VACT’s summer production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will enchant audiences with its beloved story, iconic characters, lively ensemble numbers, and gorgeous sets and costumes.

CASTING INFORMATION

This production is open to all adults, and youth age 10 and above. We are planning to cast approximately 75 people, including a youth chorus of 20-30.

For this production, youth who are age 16-18 will be considered adults for purposes of casting.

We will be casting all principal roles and the ensemble. Many ensemble members will be both townspeople and enchanted objects.

Only individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are able to audition and participate in this production. This includes all youth cast members. Those interested in auditioning must be fully vaccinated by the date of auditions.

We will not accept any day of, walk up, or late registrations. All registrations must be completed by March 25th at 11:59pm. To register, go to website.

When registering, you will be asked to select one of the following days/times for your audition.

March 29 OR 30: Youth ages 10-15: 6-7:30pm

March 29 OR 30: Adults and youth ages 16+: 7:30-10pm

For the audition, please prepare 16 bars of a song from the show or in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in a three-ring binder for a piano accompanist. No recorded music or a cappella singing at auditions.

Please bring a headshot or 4x6” photo of yourself.

Adults, please wear appropriate dance attire and footwear for a movement audition. There will be no youth dance audition.
