Bucknell University’s Department of Music invites applications for a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in solo applied voice and choral conducting beginning August 2022.

We seek candidates with teaching expertise in solo applied voice and choral directing. The successful candidate will have experience in applied voice instruction across various styles and in directing and maintaining a choral music program at the collegiate level. Teaching expectations are the equivalent of three courses each semester, including voice lessons, University Choir and/or Bucknell Voice Lab, voice methods class, and introduction to music or other related courses. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and participating in voice-related activities such as auditions, music department juries, and residencies by guest artists.

By the start date of the position, candidates are expected to have a doctorate or be ABD in one of the following: Voice, Choral Conducting, Music Education, or another related field. Candidates who have earned an Artist Diploma or another professional certificate beyond the Master's degree, and who have strong records of teaching experience may also be considered.
