The Conservatory for the Performing Arts at Viterbo University invites applications for a full-time Voice Instructor in the department of Theatre and Music Theatre beginning August 2023. The primary responsibility of this full-time, salaried position includes teaching applied voice lessons to BFA Music Theatre students.

To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate patience, time management, attention to detail, and great interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have strong grounding and training in both classical and musical theatre vocal technique (legit, belt, pop/rock, etc.) and a thorough knowledge of musical theatre repertoire (Golden Age, Pop/Rock, Contemporary, etc.). Knowledge of classical music literature is a plus.

Qualifications:

* MM or MFA in Vocal Performance or Vocal Pedagogy, along with specialized training in musical theatre voice or contemporary commercial music is required.

* Bachelor's degree with professional and/or teaching experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.

* Collegiate voice instruction and diversified teaching experience is preferred.

* Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or take over the sponsorship of the Employment Visa.
