Auditions Continue for Cape Rep’s 40th Anniversary Season. The SpongeBob the Musical: TYA Edition and Sunday in the Park with George. We are seeking Equity and Non-Equity actors, singers and dancers of all races, ages, ethnicity and gender identities.

The SpongeBob Musical (Approximate contract dates May 28 – August 28)

Sunday in the park with George (Approximate contract dates June 30 – August 24)

ROLES TO BE CAST:

The SpongeBob Musical: TYA Edition

SpongeBob SquarePants (Vocal range: C3-B4) optimistic, innocent; energetic and sometimes hyperactive. This actor should move well. Naturally funny with great comedic skills and precision. Strong pop tenor.

Ensemble Roles: looking for strong singers, dancers, comic actors.

Sunday in the Park with George

Georges/George (Vocal range: G#4 – Ab4) Act 1: George Seurat – a passionate and deeply focused artist whose intense dedication to his work creates distance in his personal relationships. Thoughtful and driven, he often wrestles with the complexities of his creative vision. Act 2: Seurat’s descendant – a talented but disillusioned inventor-sculptor who is navigating a period of creative uncertainty. Through a powerful connection to his artistic heritage, he ultimately rediscovers his sense of purpose and inspiration. Male, Age: 25 to 35

Dot/Marie (Vocal range: E3 – D5) Act 1: Dot, Georges’ headstrong mistress and occasional model so discontent with their relationship that she eventually leaves him. Act 2: Marie, George’s elderly wheelchair-bound grandmother who helps him connect to his artistry through her mother’s grammar book notes. Female, Age 21 to 35.

Please email your headshot and resume to auditions@caperep.org. Please provide a video reel of two 16-bar musical selections, one uptempo, one ballad, preferably in the style of the show you’re auditioning for. Please include vocal range with resume. A monologue is appreciated but not required.
