Description
The Department of Music at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applicants for a nine-month non-tenure track faculty appointment as Lecturer in Voice. The position will begin August 2025, with the opportunity for annual renewal based on satisfactory performance evaluation.
Duties will include teaching private voice lessons; teaching courses in lyric diction, vocal pedagogy and literature, opera workshop and other areas appropriate to the appointee’s qualifications and departmental needs; and supervising student recitals in all degree areas.
Selected candidate will be able to work effectively with faculty colleagues, engage in professional and creative activities, collaborate effectively with the choral area, and participate in other departmental responsibilities including student advising and committee work.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
* Master’s degree in vocal performance at time of application
* Demonstrated success as an applied voice instructor and recruiter at the collegiate level within a liberal arts curriculum
