Description
The Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Voice (non-tenure track) beginning in August 2023. Candidates with experience and interest in cultivating an inclusive artistic environment are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities: Join a talented and dedicated group of full- and part-time faculty with the common goal of student success; educate voice students in all the Conservatory's programs, including the nationally recognized music theatre and voice performance programs; commit to performing and teaching diverse repertoires; actively recruit voice students; participate in new-student auditions, juries, and recital hearings; and fulfill additional responsibilities based on individual expertise and interests.
Qualifications: Experience in teaching both classical (bel canto) and musical theater (contemporary theatre, pop/rock, belt, and classical theatre) styles; a master's degree in music or commensurate experience; evidence of professional-level performance; special consideration will be given to those who show a demonstrated commitment to inclusive recruitment and/or a proven record of teaching excellence within a collegiate music program.
