Description

Young Soloist International Music Competition is an annual classical music competition open to instrumentalists (keyboard, strings, woodwinds, brass) and vocalists of all nationalities, ages 29 and below.

- Keyboard : Piano

- Strings : Violin, Viola, Cello, Double bass, Guitar, Harp

- Woodwinds : Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone

- Brass : Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba

- Voice : Classical, Broadway, Musical, Opera, Folk.

Please follow the instructions on the online application page in which you can put your personal information, repertoire materials, and application fee. We accept online applications only and your application will be approved only when the application fee is submitted successfully with all your information. Be advised that all fees are non-refundable and are quoted in US dollars. There will be no live audition and the evaluation of the competition will be only conducted by reviewing your performance video.

There will be 3 steps to submitting the online application.

* Basic information : name, email, date of birth, age, mailing address(for certificate), instrument, teacher's information, biography, profile picture.

* One Repertoire information : title, composer, YouTube URL address of your performance

* Payment : Payment by credit/debit card or Paypal.

Deadline and Fee:

* Early entry by : July 4th, 2022

* Application fee : $160

* Late entry by : July 18th, 2022

* Application fee(Late) : $180

Please be advised that all deadlines are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

No late applications will be accepted after the advertised late entry deadline above.

The application must be submitted by the Online Application on our website.

Age Categories:

* Ages 11 and below

* Ages 12 to 15

* Ages 16 to 19

* Ages 20 to 29

Providing false age information is prohibited. Please note that we may request you a document of proof of age if anything is suspicious, and non-response to the request will result in the disqualification of your application.

Prize Level and Award Criteria:

* Grand Prize of each age category.

* 1st Prize of each age and instrument category.

* 2nd Prize of each age and instrument category.

* 3rd Prize of each age and instrument category.

* Honorable Mention

* Merit Award

The Grand prize of each age category will receive a $500 monetary award, a Certificate of Achievement, and an advertisement on our website.

Please note that all past winners are eligible to reapply in the future competition except for one condition of the Grand prize winners. The past Grand Prize winners can only reapply in the future competition when their ages are in the higher age categories(the same age category is not allowed).

All other winners will receive a Certificate of Achievement award. The Grand Prize winners must reach a score of 96 or above. If there is no candidate getting a score of 96 or above in a specific age category, the Grand Prize winner in the age category may not be selected.

The certificate will be mailed to your mailing address. Providing correct mailing information is your responsibility. We will charge you a penalty of $30 for resending you a new certificate caused by an incorrect mailing address provided by you. For international candidates, please provide your address in your local language. A penalty of $50 will be charged to international candidates.
