The Department of Music at the University of Vermont (UVM) seeks a candidate for a non-tenure track, full-time lecturer position with a specialization in Music Education and Choral/Vocal Studies. The position is for the Academic Year 2022-23, with intent for renewal.

Candidates should have the capacity to teach, supervise and engage students throughout the entire undergraduate Music Education curriculum, organize and direct the University Concert Choir, and teach an introductory music literature course on a topic of interest. The position is a full-time position, with a four course per semester load. It will include in-person instruction, but could also require hybrid or remote assignments.

Applicants should have doctoral degree in hand (Ph.D., Ed.D, D.M.A.) in hand or advanced ABD status at time of application, and evidence of excellence or promise in scholarship and teaching, and ability to engage with diverse students with different pedagogies. The position has the possibility for renewal.
