Opera House Players

Auditions for The Little Mermaid.

AUDITIONS:

Friday, April 8th at 6pm or Saturday, April 9th at 6pm

LOCATION:

The Enfield Annex

124 North Maple Street, Enfield CT

DANCE AUDITION:

We will start with a choreography call so be ready to move; please wear comfortable clothing. There will be a jazz audition for all and a tap audition for anyone who wants to be considered for the tap number.

VOCAL AUDITION:

Please prepare 16-32 measures of a song in the style of the show that showcases the vocal range of the character you are interested in auditioning for. Please bring the sheet music cut of your audition song with the piano accompaniment in a binder for our accompanist.

BACKGROUND CHECKS:

Opera House Players cares deeply about the health and safety of our cast and crew members. For the protection of our cast and crew, the Opera House Players will require all cast members, tech crew, and creative team members over the age of 18 to get a confidential background check. This easily performed electronic background check will be administered through a third-party administrator coordinated by the Opera House Players. More information will be provided to cast members once the show is cast.

Saturday, April 16th

Not all roles will be called back. Those being called back will hear from the creative team via email.

PERFORMANCE DATES:

August 11th-14th and August 18th-21st

AGE RANGE:

Performers ages 10 - 22

COVID-19:

We will be following all COVID-19 federal, state, and town guidelines at all times throughout the duration of the Little Mermaid production. We are requiring proof of vaccinations at the time of auditions. If a cast member is unvaccinated, they must provide a negative test at the time of auditions in addition to biweekly testing throughout the duration of the Little Mermaid rehearsal process. At this time, masks are not required at 100 High St.

REHEARSAL DATES:

Rehearsals will typically be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays beginning in June.

Tech Rehearsals will begin on August 1st therefore no conflicts in August are allowed.
