Description
The School of Music at University of the Arts seeks a part-time/adjunct position for the instruction of applied vocal instruction, including non-major lessons beginning Fall 2022.
The vocal performance program at the University of the Arts is focused in contemporary voice, where students are given a solid foundation in vocal technique, and are encouraged to explore a variety of genres to help prepare them for a career in music. Applied faculty are to participate in department meetings, juries/mid-year exams, and occasionally audition days, senior recitals, and recruiting events.
Requirements:
Well-rounded knowledge of traditional vocal technique and performance technique
Understand how to teach a variety of musical genres (i.e Jazz, R&B, Classical, Pop, Musical theater, etc) to music majors and non-majors
5+ years actively pursuing their creative and scholarly work in the field of vocal performance
2+ years teaching experience is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance is required
