The Department of Music seeks a part-time faculty member to teach applied voice lessons beginning in Spring 2022. There may be additional opportunities to teach courses in Class Voice and Vocal Diction as well as Music Appreciation, Global Music, Jazz Appreciation, Rhythm and Rock, History of Musical Theatre, and Intro to Hip-Hop depending on the department’s needs and the candidate’s expertise. Excellence in teaching and learning conducted within a rigorous and stimulating environment is an important core value of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The Music Department has a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and part-time faculty are expected to maintain department and university standards. The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in voice performance or voice pedagogy and demonstrate significant professional experience.
