Performance Now Theatre Company announces auditions for Rodgers and Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC.

Performance Now theatre Company continues to strive to create a space where EVERY artist feels welcomed, respected and affirmed; a space where there is a feeling of belonging for ALL individuals who share their valuable time and extraordinary talent. AUDITION DATES:

Saturday, September 27, 1:30-8:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 28, 12:00-5:00 p.m.

Callbacks Sunday, September 28, 6:00-10:00 p.m.

AUDITION LOCATION:

Little Theatre Dance Studio

9142 West Ken Caryl Ave, Littleton 80128

(Please do not call Little Theatre)

PREPARE:

16-32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show.

Please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.

No taped music or a capella allowed.

Please have music marked and in a 3-ring binder.

Be prepared to sing and read from the script and score at your audition.

BRING:

Headshot, resume, and list of possible conflicts.

REHEARSALS:

Rehearsals will take place at Little theatre.

Rehearsals will begin November 15.

Rehearsals will be Saturdays 1:30-6:30 and Sundays 1:00-6:00

(November 15/16, 22/23, 29/30, December 6/7, 13/14, 20/21, 27/28, January 3/4.

TECH WEEK January 5-8 at the Lakewood Cultural Center

PERFORMANCES:

January 9-25 at the Lakewood Cultural Center

Fridays 7:30 p.m. (6:00 call)

Saturdays 2:00 (12:30 call) and 7:30 (6:00 call)

Sundays 2:00 (12:30 call)

Possible additional performances Thursdays, January 15 & 22, 7:30 (6:00 call)

ACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO ASSIST WITH STRIKE AFTER THE FINAL PERFORMANCE.

All actors will receive a $350 stipend for 12 performances, with an additional $25 for each additional show.

Seeking two child actors for the roles of Ngana and Jerome (ages 7-13). Other lead, supporting and feature roles are open and available to performers age 18 and older.

We are committed to equitable, inclusive casting. Unless specified by the script or cultural context, all roles are open to performers of any race, ethnicity, body type, or ability.

The roles of Bloody Mary, Liat, Henri, Ngana, and Jerome will be played by actors who are BIPOC, preferably of AAPI descent, in order to honor the story's cultural authenticity and lived experiences.
