Hale Centre Theatre

Hale Centre Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming production of Lucky Stiff.

Auditions will be by video submission only. Go to website to access the sign up. Please have your video ready BEFORE you sign up. All video submissions will be due by 10pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Videos submitted after the 10pm deadline will not be accepted.

LUCKY STIFF revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn…or else his uncle’s gun-toting ex! LUCKY STIFF is an offbeat, hilarious murder mystery farce, complete with mistaken identities, six milllion bucks in diamonds and a corpse in a wheelchair.

LUCKY STIFF will be directed & choreographed by Jim Christian, with music direction by Kelly DeHaan.

LUCKY STIFF will run on our Jewel Box Stage from September 12, 2022 through November 19, 2022.

All roles are open and will be double cast. We are looking for a diverse group to play adults View character descriptions on website . For this production we will not be able to offer any AEA contracts.

FOR YOUR VIDEO: Please slate at the beginning of your video and tell us your name, what role(s) & what song you will be singing. Please prepare 30 seconds of a song in the style of the show - comedy is vital. We would like to see your full body angle on the video.

Call backs will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the afternoon/early evening and will be by invitation only and will be in person. Reading, additional singing and dancing will be at the call backs. All cast members are paid and pay rates, depending on the role, range from $80 to $135 per performance. Pay rates are posted on the character descriptions.
