Georgetown Palace Theatre

The Georgetown Palace Theatre announces auditions for our Springer Stage production of Singin’ in the Rain. The production is scheduled to open Friday, August 26, 2022 and close on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

We will NOT be holding in-person vocal auditions for this production. Auditions for vocals will be done via self-tape. The Singing Audition Video should be uploaded to the Audition Video section. Your video audition needs to be uploaded to Theatre Forms by Friday, May 20 at midnight.

Vocal auditions will consist of singing one selected vocal side from the show. The song cuts and tracks available on our website will be used for all initial auditions. Please choose a side from below to perform for your initial audition. An MP3 file and a PDF of the sheet music are available for all audition songs. You do need to use the track provided for your video audition.

Dance Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 21 in the rehearsal room of the Playhouse! (216 W 8th St, Georgetown, TX). There will be 3 groups of dancing. Please sign up for a time for dancing. 1-2:00p, 2:15p-3:15p, and we will open up 3:30p-4:30p only if needed.

**Those cast as Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont MUST be available on June 21st for filming of the silent movie. The date is already booked with the venue and cannot be rescheduled.
